Ok...so I really suck at blogging...

So it's been an interesting few weeks but this week has been crazy... so Monday was good we had our FPU group (financial peace university Dave Ramsey good stuff) so that was great.  Tuesday we had snow I still managed to have a short practice with the band 7 Day Walk.  That went well got home got to talk with Kim for awhile while the kids were sleeping then we decided to get something to eat looking in the pantry we saw water on the floor... not good so maybe snow melt? busted pipe? nope... the neighbors washing machine malfunctioned and wouldn't shut off water so it's pouring down their steps and then into our bathroom downstairs and the pantry/kitchen.  So long story short the rental office had cleaners here for the next three days (today we have clean carpets and tile)  So back-up two weeks and Kim and I noticed our heater was making some really not so nice noises and called the rental office... again... again ... again.  Well they only today finally sent someone out.  The main issue was they hadn't changed out the filter for two or more months.  So after some routine maintenance the HVAC guy left saying our landlords suck, but your heat will work right now!

And then to add to the crazy last night Kaitlyn and Will were playing on a tonka truck pushing one another around as they often do and Will decided to take a faceplant in the kitchen... lot's of blood and him nodding off we rushed off to the ER waited 5 hours to hear... He's got a cut in his mouth and bruised his nose... "thanks doc".  So $100 bucks and 2 mins with a doc...  wow.  But Will's good but cranky ...but so would you if your face got flattened and you nose is twice as big as is your upper lip... 

Ah well... maybe next week will be more laid back...

Ok...I suck at Blogging...

Well it's been a long time... let's see this past weekend I took Kaitlyn camping it was fun! Even with Tropical Storm Hanna dumping rain down most of the day. I think Kaitlyn had the most fun when we went to see this waterfall on our hike and then playing in the creek... On the home front Will has learned to climb up on furniture but not how to get down... He's also learned how to take his clothes and diapers off. =( that hasn't been a ton of fun so now I'm putting him in clothes that he really has to work to take off. Anyway I'm working on trying to write some new tunes just trying to stay creative and write a better tune... I'll let you know when there's more to tell...

Darkness and the dawn...

Well last night (or this morning) I got to see The Dark Knight! Man what a ride... this movie paid off on so many things it certainly it takes care of any worry about living up to the hype. There were no performances that were not stellar this is a movie that is done extremely well. This is a world where Batman could exist and where a villian such as The Joker or Two Face could show up and not be laughable. As soon as you can you should pay your money to go see this film! I'd love to say more but I don't want to ruin just how awesome this movie is!

This is one of those movies that remind you about awe and wonder of movie making.

Hey guys and gals well some friends of mine have just released a new EP it's pretty cool. If you like the pop-punk-rock scene you should check these guys out. Dropout Year they just yesterday released On A Lighter Note which is an acoustic CD of several of their top hits. Anyway like I said they are on iTunes it'll be less than $6.00 to get the EP... So go get to it already!

fun with the kids...

Well life is more active these days. It's been oh about a week since Will learned to "scoot", so he's now mobile and fairly quick when he's so motivated. Unfortunatley for Kaitlyn he's often motivated by whatever she's got... so craziness ensues. So sometimes Will cries cause well Kaitlyn had whatever first and other times it's a toy of Kaitlyn's that she hasn't even looked at all day then she cries... Fun fun fun... Anyway it's amusing.

sad times for music... Current mood: bummed Category: Music It's been an odd year 08 (I know it's an even number) has seen some cool things for music but this year I've seen several bands that I know (some better than others) break up or split losing some key people. Also locally one of the biggest supporters of quality local music is going down south to the lovely state of Florida. That one is harder for me personally as the Kelly's have been a great supporter to me and my family and the two other things I'm passionate about The Journey Church Community and The Ugly Mug cafe and concert house. Florida will be a better place with them being there but there's a hole not easily filled here. Here's hoping that from 7 day walk any changes that happen will all be for the better. BTW hope that you who got to hear us at Tati-Fest had a great time and hopefully this summer we'll have another show other than the standard Sunday morning gig. Though if you haven't checked out the Sunday gig you should 10:30 am we've got coffee and doughnuts and other breakfast-y things. Just shoot me a message if you are interested.
